Mid Month Catch up – Aug 2021

I set myself the challenge of reading 10 books this month, and I seem to be reading on target at the moment.

Books Completed:

Here are the books I have read this month , including one I started in July. The links to the reviews are on the title of each book:

πŸ’œ Invisible girl – Lisa Jewell

πŸ’œ Source – Rosemary Johnston

πŸ’œ Liar Liar – Mel Sherratt

πŸ’œ George and the Orphan Crow and the Creatures of Blossom Valley – Helen Fox

πŸ’œ Five Strangers – E.V. Adamson

πŸ’œ The New Home – Chris Merritt – Review coming soon

Currently Reading:

πŸ’œ Before I Met You – Lisa Jewell

I am currently about half way through and I am loving it. It is slightly different to other Lisa Jewell books I have read so far, but it is really good.

TBR for rest of August:

πŸ’œ Kolkata Noir – Tom Vater

πŸ’œ Broken Silence – Liz Mistry

πŸ’œ Swindled – S E Shephard

πŸ’œ After the Silence – Louise O’Neill

I’m hoping to read more than this as I have some time off, so we will see 😊

NetGalley catch up:

I only joined NetGalley last month, and I am trying to keep organised with the books I have been approved. Here is my catch up so far in August:

πŸ’œ 10 Books approved Jul/Aug 2021

πŸ’œ 2 Books Read

πŸ’œ 1 Review posted & 1 to be posted

I’m also very close to reaching my Good Reads challenge goal for 2021, so hopefully in my monthly wrap up this will be completed.

  1. Great job on the reading goals! I have not read Before I Met You but I have read many great reviews for it. I’m so glad you’re enjoying it.

  2. I’ve met my Goodread’s goal. I guess I should have made it larger 😯. But I thought two books per week was a respectable goal. You have already read some amazing books and it looks like you have more intriguing titles to carry you through until the end of the month. Happy reading!

    1. Well done 😊 I set mine to just under one a week and I didn’t think I would even hit that. I am loving what I have had the chance to read this year and I am keen to see what my end of year total is so I can try and set myself another challenge next year πŸ’•
