Weekly Catch Up: 12.09.21

I am nearly caught up with all the reviews for the books I have read this year, so I decided to start a new weekly post each Sunday to catch up from the week before.

I will be sharing what I have been up to, what I have read, am reading and what’s up next along with other weekly catch up news.

What I have been up to this week:

It has been a hard week with getting used to the school run, and working full time at home still. There were times I got a bit low, but hopefully next week will be better now we are a bit more settled in to the routine. I got to see the people in the office this week for one day though and that was really nice, it was great to be a bit more social again.

Reading wise, I didn’t get a lot read during the week as I kept falling asleep about half hour after I started reading in the evening. I’m hoping this will also calm down this week so I can read a little bit more.

My Reading:

Completed Reading

Currently Reading

Hungry Business – Maria DeBlassie

Review Coming Soon

Go For Broke – Daisy Knox

Review can be found here.

The Midnight Man – Caroline Mitchell

Expected publication date 13.10.21

Next to Read

We Watch You – N S Ford

Expected publishing date 01.10.21

Posts last Week:

💜 06.09.21 – Review: Swindled by S.E. Shepherd

💜 07.09.21 – Publishing Date: The New Home by Chris Merritt

💜 01.09.21 – Free E-Books: 11.09.21

Book Totals:

💜 Paperbacks/Hardbacks on my book shelf = 57

(The same as last week)

(-2, I managed to complete 2 this week)

💜 Other E-books on Kindle = 169

(+7, see Saturday’s post to see what I have added)

I will be comparing this each week, although with my reading slowing down this month I think the figures are likely to go up rather than down 😂.

NetGalley catch up:

Here are my totals as of today:

💜 12 Books approved Jul/Aug 2021

💜 4 Books Read

💜 4 Reviews posted

Feedback Ratio 33%.

(No change this week)

Looking forward to keeping this post going in the future, and hopefully I can actually stay awake long enough in the evenings this week to get some reading done.

  1. I think every little piece of normal we get to add back into our lives is such a wonderful thing. If nothing else, I think this horrible pandemic has everyone really appreciating the everyday things we took for granted. Hope this week is wonderful!

  2. I enjoy these posts where I see what everyone is up to and what you are reading. I retired just before the pandemic started, and I can’t imagine working remotely for such a long time. I really enjoyed going into an office. Hope this week perks up for you.
