Scarecrow Has a Gun – Michael Paul Kozlowsky

I received an E-ARC copy of ‘Scarecrow Has a Gun’ by Michael Paul Kozlowsky through Book Sirens, in return for my honest review. The expected publishing date is 02.08.22.

This Sci-Fi Thriller follows Sean Whittlesea, a widower with a son who was only very young when his Mum was killed.

Sean is invited to a widower’s club by the CEO of the company he works for, Mr Ulger. This club are set a challenge and the winner will become more successful in the company. These challenges are sometimes dangerous, but Sean continues to compete each time he is invited.

After a number of years Sean finally wins his challenge and his prize is a box that can show him all of his memories, even the ones deeply hidden away.

With the death of his wife still a mystery to him due to amnesia from the fateful night, he is intrigued whether he can discover the answers he desires.

Will the box help him to obtain closure? Is there a more devious intention behind the Widower’s club challenges?

I must admit I wasn’t’ sure what to expect from this book when I picked it up, but I couldn’t stop reading as soon as I had started.

It kept me enthralled throughout as I wanted to find out more about Sean and what his memories would show him.

It did mess with my head a little as quite rightly it explains how our memories can alter over time to fit with what we want to believe, which in some ways is quite scary.

Overall, an enthralling Sci-fi Thriller about memories and how our perception of them could change over time.

My Rating:

💜💜💜💜💜 /5
