I received an E-ARC copy of ‘Life Slightly’ by Nigel Jay Cooper from the author in return for my honest review. The expected publishing date is 30.09.22.
This lovely book follows two strangers Gavin and Jackie as they meet on a park bench.
Jackie wants to help him and asks him to tell her his life story. Gavin does and tells her of the love of his life Steve, his wife and all his life confused by what he really wants.
Gavin tries to get Jackie to open up too, but with a secret she is hiding she has her concerns.
What is Jackieβs secret? Who will Gavin choose?
I really loved reading this story, the simple idea of two strangers talking on a bench about there life is probably something that should happen more often than it does.
Both characters seem to help each other in a way, as they both talk about their stories and troubles they have endured.
The characters have made mistakes, but that is life, and we learn from them to hopefully make us a better person.
Overall, a lovely book where two strangers talk about their lives, loves and troubles.
